David Bazika is a Czech set designer and architect born in 1974 in Prague. He studied architecture at the Czech Technical University and set design at DAMU under Ondřej Nekvasil. Since the 2009/2010 season he has been head of design at the National Moravian-Silesian Theatre in Ostrava, creating sets for opera, drama, ballet and musical productions. He has worked with around thirty theatre companies across the Czech Republic and Slovakia, and also takes on film, television and architectural projects.
