About

Dasha, born Dagmar Sobková on 27 June 1981 in Zlín, is a Czech singer and musical theatre actress whose repertoire spans pop, soul, funk, jazz and musical theatre. She studied at the Prague State Conservatory and in 2005 at Berklee College of Music in Boston. For over two decades she sang as a backing vocalist for Karel Gott, and in 2010 she won the Thalia Award for her role as Mary Magdalene in Jesus Christ Superstar. She is widely known from the TV show StarDance and from the crossover projects Dasha Symphony and Ellaboration - a tribute to Ella Fitzgerald.
