Dario Fo (1926–2016) was an Italian playwright, actor and director whose work blends political satire, farce and popular theatrical tradition. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1997. His best-known play is Accidental Death of an Anarchist. He wrote many works together with his wife Franca Rame.
