Chris Thile is an American mandolinist, composer, and singer widely regarded as one of the foremost mandolin players of his generation. He is the founder and frontman of Punch Brothers and a former member of the bluegrass trio Nickel Creek. His work spans bluegrass, classical, and jazz, and he has collaborated with artists such as Brad Mehldau and Yo-Yo Ma.
