Chase & Status are a British drum and bass duo formed by Saul Milton (Chase) and Will Kennard (Status), who have shaped modern UK bass music since the mid-2000s by blending drum and bass, dubstep, grime and hip hop. They have released six studio albums, including 'Brand New Machine', 'No More Idols' and 'RTRN II JUNGLE', and run their own label, MTA Records. In 2024 they scored their first UK number-one single with 'BACKBONE' featuring Stormzy and won the Brit Award for Producer of the Year.
Chase & Status announced a new album Generic Everything, which will be released on October 9, 2026 on Warner Music / 2RUFF Records.
As a taste of the album, they released the single 'Gone Too Far' featuring vocalist Debbie, which follows their previous collaboration 'Disgruntled' with J Hus and IRAH.
Will Kennard was honored with the MBE order as part of the British Birthday Honours for his contributions to music and arts education.
The track 'BACKBONE' with Stormzy brought the duo their first British number-one single and became the most-streamed song of the week in the United Kingdom.
The duo won their first Brit Award in the Producer of the Year category.
