About

Cello Republic is a Czech crossover cello quartet - Petr Špaček, Matěj Štěpánek, Jan Zemen and Ivan Vokáč - founded in 2022. Three of the four members spent nearly a decade in the Prague Cello Quartet, whose Phantom of the Opera video surpassed 50 million YouTube views. The new ensemble brings together two Czech Philharmonic concertmasters, a crossover soloist and a conservatory professor, blending virtuoso multi-genre arrangements with stand-up comedy.
