About

Buty are a rock band from Ostrava, founded in 1986 by Richard Kroczek and Radek Pastrňák. Their eclectic blend of rock, folk and world music, paired with witty lyrics, made them one of the most popular Czech acts of the 1990s. Over eight studio albums they earned a Czech Lion award for their contribution to Jan Svěrák's road movie Jízda (1994), along with multiple Anděl and Český slavík prizes.
