Broken By The Scream (BBTS) is a Tokyo-based metal idol quartet that has been fusing extreme metal with Japanese idol aesthetics since their 2017 debut. Founded by guitarist and producer Katsuya Kumamoto, the group pairs deep growls and sharp screams with clean melodic vocals over a metalcore and djent-driven sound. After two European tours and main-stage slots at Resurrection Fest and Japan Expo, they signed to Metal Blade Records in February 2026.

The band announced a European tour Screaming Rebellion (summer 2026) featuring 13 concerts in 9 countries, including a stop in Prague.

The fourth studio album Solar Strain was released (August 13, 2025), featuring an epic composition "Tsuioku no Nasca" lasting over 14 minutes.
