Ostrava in Flames 2026
The twelfth edition of the Ostrava in Flames metal festival features SOULFLY, KORPIKLAANI, BLOODBOUND, and other international metal acts in the iconic Dolní Vítkovice industrial area.
Bloodbound is a Swedish power metal band founded in 2004 in Trollhättan by guitarist Tomas Olsson and keyboardist Fredrik Bergh. They debuted in 2005 with Nosferatu and have since released eleven studio albums, consistently rooted in melodic heavy metal with epic, history-driven lyrics. Their influences range from Iron Maiden to Helloween and HammerFall.
On November 21, 2025, Bloodbound released their eleventh studio album Field Of Swords on Napalm Records - a concept album set in the Middle Ages after 1066.
On the closing track of the album "The Nine Crusades", Brittney Slayes from the Canadian band Unleash the Archers is featured.
The album Field Of Swords follows the previous album Tales From The North (2023) and thematically shifts the narrative from the Viking era to the Middle Ages.
In March 2026, Bloodbound performed a European tour with the bands Brainstorm and Angus McSix, which included stops in Berlin, Heidelberg, and Eindhoven.
In August 2026, Bloodbound are confirmed for the Belgian Alcatraz Metal Festival in Kortrijk.
