William Francis Nighy (born 12 December 1949 in Caterham, Surrey) is an English actor whose career stretches from the Liverpool Everyman and the Royal National Theatre to Hollywood blockbusters. He became internationally known as the washed-up rocker Billy Mack in Love Actually (2003), winning a BAFTA for the role, and earned his first Oscar nomination at 73 for his lead performance in the drama Living (2022).
Nighy appeared in the film Shelter (an action thriller with Jason Statham), which premiered in cinemas on January 30, 2026.
On Amazon Prime Video, the thriller Harlan Coben's Lazarus premiered on October 22, 2025, in which Nighy played Dr. Jonathan Lazarus.
