Avulsed is a Spanish death metal band from Madrid, active since August 1991. Vocalist Dave Rotten (David Sánchez González) is the sole constant member and also runs the extreme metal label Xtreem Music. Over more than three decades the band has released eight studio albums and toured across five continents, making them one of the most enduring acts in the Spanish extreme metal underground.
Avulsed released their eighth studio album Phoenix Cryptobiosis on March 4, 2025 through Xtreem Music - the band's first full-length album since 2016.
Avulsed performed at the Brutal Assault 2025 festival in Jaroměř (Czech Republic) and at the Alcatraz Metal Festival 2025 in Kortrijk (Belgium).
The band presented themselves at the SWR Barroselas Metalfest XX festival in Portugal in April 2025.
Avulsed returned to the USA in May 2024 for Maryland Deathfest, for the first time after a long break.
The band made their debut at the 70000 Tons of Metal 2024 festival in Miami with two performances aboard a cruise ship.
