The Association of Cooks and Pastry Chefs of the Czech Republic (AKC) is a professional guild uniting over 800 members across eight regional branches. It traces its roots to the Cooks' Union founded in 1903 and has operated under its current name since 1993. The association organises competitions such as Cook of the Year and Pastry Chef of the Year, fields national teams at international culinary olympics, and is a member of the World Association of Chefs' Societies (WACS).
