Alžběta Vlčková

About

Alžběta Vlčková (born 1975) is a Czech cellist who trained at the Prague Conservatory under Josef Páleníček and at the AMU Music Faculty under Miroslav Petráš, with a further internship in Roland Pidoux's class in Paris. Alongside her solo work she is a founding member of the ArteMiss Piano Trio, winner of the 2004 Premio Carlo E. Soliva in Italy, and serves as a member of the Prague Chamber Orchestra while teaching at New York University in Prague.

    Alžběta Vlčková performed in September 2023 at a chamber concert in Prosečnice alongside violinist Václav Hudeček and pianist Lukáš Klánský.

  • 2022-04

    In April 2022, she performed as a soloist with the Prague Chamber Orchestra in the Church of St. Simon and Jude in Prague, where she played Haydn's Cello Concerto in D major and received prolonged applause.

  • 2009-2014

    From 2009 to 2014, she led the cello section of the Talich Chamber Philharmonic.
