Alice & Dan Bárta

About

Alice & Dan Bárta is the name used for the Czech rock band Alice performing in their classic lineup with frontman Dan Bárta. The band formed in Plzeň in 1990 and released three albums in the first half of the 1990s - Yeah! (1992), Ústa hromů (1994) and Alice (1995) - all considered landmarks of Czech rock. Dan Bárta, an eleven-time Anděl Award winner and 'Singer of the Quarter Century' (2015), has since pursued jazz with Illustratosphere and funk/rap with J.A.R.; Alice reunites only on rare occasions, which makes each concert a notable event.
