Alexandr Starý is a Czech pianist born in 1983 in Ostrava, where he trained at the Janáček Conservatory and later at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Ostrava, where he now works as a répétiteur. He has refined his craft at masterclasses with Dimitri Bashkirov, Zoltán Kocsis and other leading pedagogues. He has performed regularly with the Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava and the Brno Philharmonic.
