Alena Pešková is a Czech dancer, choreographer and director. After graduating from the Prague Dance Conservatory in 1994 she danced at the Karlín Music Theatre and the J. K. Tyl Theatre ballet in Plzeň, then led the ballet company of the F. X. Šalda Theatre in Liberec from 2010 to 2019. She creates full-length ballets to her own libretti - among them Maryša, Café Aussig and Blood Wedding - and founded the independent ensemble Ultra-minimal-ballet.
