Action Trio is a jazz ensemble led by alto saxophonist David Binney, with drummer and multi-instrumentalist Louis Cole and Belgrade-born bassist Pera Krstajic. Binney has released over 30 albums as a leader and appeared on more than 400 recordings, winning the DownBeat Critics' Poll for Alto Saxophone three times and assembling the group behind David Bowie's final album Blackstar. Cole is widely known as a member of the electro-funk duo Knower and as a solo artist on Brainfeeder, whose 2022 album Quality Over Opinion earned a Grammy nomination. Krstajic rose through the European jazz scene before becoming a close collaborator of Binney's across multiple projects.
