Gaahls Wyrd ist eine norwegische Black-Metal-Band aus Bergen, die 2015 von Sänger Gaahl (Kristian Espedal), dem ehemaligen Frontmann von Gorgoroth und God Seed, gegründet wurde. Die Band knüpft an die raue, rituelle Ästhetik der norwegischen Black-Metal-Szene an, erweitert sie aber um poetischere und atmosphärischere Elemente. Für ihr Schaffen, darunter das Album Braiding the Stories (2025), wurde sie mit dem norwegischen Musikpreis Spellemannprisen ausgezeichnet. Die Band tritt sowohl als Headliner als auch als markanter Programmpunkt großer Metal-Festivals auf.
Die Band veröffentlichte ihr zweites Studioalbum Braiding the Stories auf dem Label Season of Mist.
Gaahls Wyrd trat im Prager Křižíkov-Pavillon beim Festival Prague Death Mass V auf.
Die Band wurde als einer der Künstler des Mystic Festival in der polnischen Stadt Gdańsk angekündigt.
Die Organisatoren des Bergener Festivals Beyond the Gates 2026 bestätigten die Teilnahme von Gaahls Wyrd neben Emperor, Alcest und Arcturus.
