About the venue

Zákupy Chateau is a baroque residence from the 17th century, one of the most notable aristocratic seats in northern Bohemia. It served for many years as a summer retreat for the Habsburg imperial family - Emperor Ferdinand V spent extended periods here. Today the chateau is managed by the National Heritage Institute and is open to visitors, with guided tours and cultural events throughout the season.
