Janek Ledecký
Concert by Czech singer-songwriter Janek Ledecký and his band.
The Renaissance castle on Pernštýnské náměstí was built in 1522-1526 by Jan IV of Pernštejn as part of the town's fortifications. Vratislav II of Pernštejn had it rebuilt in 1568-1572 into a noble residence with arcades and an ornate portal; Swedish troops burned it down during the Thirty Years' War and it never served as an aristocratic seat again. The facade is covered with sgraffiti designed by Jano Köhler around 1900, featuring Haná folk motifs, heraldic emblems and sundials. Now a listed cultural monument owned by the city, it hosts exhibitions, workshops and educational programmes throughout the year, with a stage programme in the courtyard each summer.
