About the venue

A late-Baroque castle on the bank of the Berounka river, originally built in 1505 as a Renaissance summer residence for the Grand Masters of the Knights of the Cross with the Red Star. After a fire in 1779 it was rebuilt in its current form, gaining the distinctive square tower. Since 2004 the city of Dobřichovice has used it as a cultural centre, hosting exhibitions, concerts and weddings. The complex includes the chapel of St. Jude Thaddeus, and the annual Dobřichovice Wine Festival takes place here every summer.
