About the venue

The castle garden adjoins the château in Velké Meziříčí and is freely open year-round. What began as a baroque garden with an oak avenue and fountains gradually gives way to wilder woodland across 23 hectares. The park holds a garden pond, rose beds and a wooden covered bridge relocated from Krásněves. The northern section is crossed by the Vysočina motorway viaduct; the whole complex has been a listed cultural monument since 1958.
