About the venue

The castle garden in Mladá Vožice spreads southeast behind the baroque château, covering roughly 6,700 m². The sloping ground is shaped into terraces by retaining walls; just behind the castle lie two sunken parterres with a pool and fountain, flanked by remnants of clipped baroque boskets. The garden's main axis continues as a linden alley ending at a small chapel. The space doubles as an open-air venue - the annual theatre festival Vokule and other summer events take place here.
