About the venue

Velké Bílovice is a town in Břeclav District and the largest wine-growing municipality in the Czech Republic, with over 760 hectares of vineyards and more than 650 wine cellars spread across 40 named cellar lanes. It lies in the Velkopavlovická wine subregion and gained town status in 2001. The annual Hody folk festival (first Sunday after 8 September) draws visitors from across the country for its costumed parade of over 50 pairs, and the Ze sklepa do sklepa cellar-hopping event takes place each spring at the turn of March and April.
