Reading Contest for Children
A reading contest for children that encourages exploring nature books, with a visit to Techmánie Plzeň as the prize.
The TOSTA museum and gallery occupies a former textile factory founded in 1929 as Johann Lehrmann and Sons, which produced textiles until 1999. After two decades of standing empty, the building was converted and has housed a permanent exhibition since 2022, covering the Czech-German wartime and post-war history of the Plesná region as well as the geology and earthquake activity of the Cheb Basin. The three-storey gallery in the lower tower shows rotating contemporary art exhibitions, and the 77-metre factory chimney remains the landmark of the whole site.
