Státní zámek Hrádek u Nechanic is a neo-Gothic Romantic castle about 11 km west of Hradec Králové. Count František Arnošt of Harrach had it built between 1839 and 1857 as the family's representative seat, based on a design by London architect Edward Buckton Lamb in the Tudor Gothic style. The interiors illustrate aristocratic life in the second half of the 19th century, furnished with antiques brought from Italy and Austria. Open to the public since 1953 and declared a national cultural monument in 2001, the castle and its English landscape park have also served as a location for numerous films.
