About the venue

The Společenský dům (Community House) in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm stands on the edge of the town park and dates back to 1874, when it was built as a spa house for guests of the local climate resort. The design came from architect Chytil of Nový Jičín, with construction carried out by builder Zapletal of Frenštát. After the spa era ended the building passed into private hands; in 2023 the town bought it back. The theatre hall now hosts concerts, theatre performances and dance courses, while the multipurpose hall serves local clubs and the leisure centre.
