About the venue

The Slavic fortified settlement at Mikulčice is one of the most important archaeological sites of Great Moravia, dating to the 9th century. Excavations have uncovered the foundations of a princely palace, remains of over a dozen churches, and thousands of graves. The site now functions as an open-air museum and regularly hosts historical festivals and educational events.
