The Rock Café theatre hall, known as RockCabaret, was created on the ground floor of this iconic Prague club during a 2006 renovation, when the main music hall moved to the basement. The room seats around 100 and hosts theatre performances as well as film screenings. It has welcomed well-known Czech performers and regularly stages productions by student ensembles from DAMU and FAMU alongside established theatre companies. The club itself was founded on 5 January 1990 by artists from the former dissident scene, days after the Velvet Revolution.
