Mělník

About the venue

The Regional Museum of Mělník, a contributory organisation of the Central Bohemian Region, was founded in 1886 and is housed in a former Capuchin monastery building dating from the second half of the 14th century on náměstí Míru. Its permanent exhibitions cover the history of viticulture in Bohemia, the nature and history of the Mělník region, and the development of children's prams in the Czech Republic. Visitors can taste Czech wines in the medieval cellars or in the museum café on the historic town walls. The museum also hosts temporary exhibitions and cultural events year-round.
