About the venue

Ratibořice château sits in the Úpa river valley near Česká Skalice and is closely tied to writer Božena Němcová, who immortalised it in her novel Babička. The baroque-classicist complex includes the château building, an English-style park and a mill. Cultural events and theatre performances are held here throughout the year alongside regular guided tours.
