About the venue

Průhonický Park is a 250-hectare landscape park laid out from 1885 by Count Arnošt Emanuel Silva-Tarouca in the valley of the Botič stream. Since 2010 it has been a national cultural monument and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. More than 25 km of paths wind through a collection of over 1,600 native and exotic tree species, with a celebrated gathering of around 8,000 rhododendrons as the seasonal highlight. The Průhonice Botanical Garden, with its collections of irises, peonies, roses and daylilies, forms part of the same grounds; the park is administered by the Institute of Botany of the Czech Academy of Sciences.
