Dvořák Festival: Trumpet Legend
A Dvořák Festival concert featuring trumpeter Miroslav Kejmar and organist Přemysl Kšica. The program brings together classical works by Händel, Bach, and Corelli alongside compositions by Dvořák and Vivaldi.
The early Baroque pilgrimage church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary was built in 1695-1700 at the initiative of Tobias Jan Becker, a native of Králíky who later became Bishop of Hradec Králové. The three-nave basilica with a twin-towered façade stands on Hora Matky Boží (Mother of God Hill), about 1.5 km from Králíky, and serves as the main pilgrimage site of the Diocese of Hradec Králové. After a lightning fire in 1846 destroyed the original furnishings, the interior was refitted in neo-Renaissance style between 1883 and 1907. The entire complex was declared a national cultural monument in 2018.
