About the venue

Planetárium Praha has stood in Stromovka park since 1960, in a building designed by architect Jaroslav Fragner. Its main hall features a 22-metre dome fitted with an LED Dome system of over 45 million diodes - making it the first fully digital LED planetarium in Europe. After a major reconstruction, it reopened in June 2025. Alongside fulldome screenings, visitors can explore the ESA Phi Experience exhibition, an Apollo 11 landing module, and the Space Shuttle Atlantis.
