About the venue

Pevnost Josefov is a unique Baroque military fortress built between 1780 and 1787 during the reign of Emperor Joseph II, after whom it is named. It is one of the best-preserved fortresses of its kind in Central Europe. The extensive underground tunnel system and casemates are open to the public as a military history museum.
