Musical Instruments in Folk Culture – Exhibition in Strážnice
An exhibition showcasing traditional folk musical instruments, their construction, materials, and acoustic properties.
The National Institute of Folk Culture (NÚLK) is a state-funded organisation under the Czech Ministry of Culture, based in Strážnice Castle. As the national centre of expertise, it safeguards traditional folk culture across the Czech Republic through research, exhibitions and conferences. It manages a 45-hectare complex of 99 buildings, including the open-air Museum of the Southeast Moravian Village. The institute organises the International Folklore Festival Strážnice and hosts the Czech national section of CIOFF.
