About the venue

The city museum occupies a restored historic building that once served as a hospital in Mimoň. The permanent ground-floor exhibition covers local history from prehistory to 1948 alongside a natural-history section on the area's fauna and flora, with an outdoor herb garden. A highlight is the mortuary chamber preserved in its original state. The upper floors host rotating temporary shows in the Galerie J. A. Pacáka, and the museum also runs monthly lectures and concerts. The Chapel of the Holy Sepulchre complex is right next door.
