Jaroměř 1

About the venue

A municipal park on the right bank of the Elbe in the Na ostrově area, enclosed by the river and a mill race. It was laid out in 1885-1886 to a design by gardener Hans Liehm and originally called Městské sady. During the First Republic it was renamed Masarykovy sady, and in 1928 a monument to T. G. Masaryk by sculptor Otakar Španiel was unveiled here. The park now hosts outdoor events - concerts, markets and city celebrations.
