Lidový dům, known locally as „liďák", is a cultural centre in the Stará Role district of Karlovy Vary. The building dates to 1912 and underwent a major renovation in 2010, gaining a refurbished main hall, two bars and professional AV equipment. It hosts concerts, balls, conferences and corporate events, and is the only functioning venue of its kind in the city. In the 20th century the hall also served as a screening venue for the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.
