About the venue

Letní kino Portheimka is an open-air cinema set in the park of the baroque summer palace Portheimka on Smíchov's náměstí 14. října. The palace was built in 1728 by Kilián Ignác Dientzenhofer, and the park is what remains of its original baroque garden. Screenings take place on summer evenings after dark, with a programme ranging from Czech classics to international films. The event is organised by the Prague 5 municipality together with other partners.
