About the venue

A public domestic airfield with a grass runway about 2.5 km west of Rakovník, operated by Aeroklub Rakovník. The club covers powered, glider and ultralight flying as well as pilot training. The airfield is open year-round and regularly hosts air shows, navigation flying competitions and aerobatics events. Flying here dates back to 1946, when operations moved from the nearby Senecká hora site.
