Letenská pláň is a vast open plateau (nearly 47 ha) on the Letná hill above the Vltava river in Prague 7. The site once held the largest Stalin monument in Europe; after it was demolished in the 1960s, the Prague Metronome took its place. In November 1989 more than 750,000 people gathered here during the Velvet Revolution. Today the plain hosts large-scale concerts, the Letní Letná festival, circus shows and a seasonal ice rink.
