About the venue

The municipal cultural centre in Veselí nad Lužnicí is a city-funded institution established in 1996. The building dates from the 1970s and was designed by architect Karel Prager - when it opened around 1980, it was the largest cultural house in the Tábor district. It offers a large hall for up to 400 people, a smaller hall, a salon, a club room and a wine bar, with the town library also housed on the premises. Film screenings, exhibitions, the Veselské slavnosti town festival and summer fairy-tale Fridays are among the regular events.
