The Kulturní dům Petra Bezruče on Hlavní třída in Havířov was designed by architects Blažej Heiser and Radim Dejmal in the late 1950s, opened in 1961, and underwent a major reconstruction in 2002 costing 125 million crowns. The main theatrical hall seats over 500, while the smaller puppet theatre hall holds around 113. The programme covers theatre, classical and popular music concerts, fashion shows, and exhibitions in the Galerie Maryčka.
