The Střelnice cultural centre occupies a neo-classicist building from 1882, one of the oldest in Český Těšín and a listed heritage monument. It was originally built for the local shooting society; since 1996 the KaSS organisation has run concerts, theatre performances, exhibitions and festivals here. The in-house jazz club hosts regular evenings - jazz has been part of the city's identity since the Těšín Jazz Festival launched in 1973. KaSS also operates the Central cinema.
