About the venue

The Klub moravských skladatelů (KMS) is a Brno music association founded on 17 September 1922 at the initiative of Vladimír Helfert, Vilém Petrželka and Václav Kaprál, with Leoš Janáček as its first chairman. It brings together composers, performers, musicologists and critics, and has long promoted contemporary music through concerts, lectures and exchanges with foreign partners. Forced to dissolve in 1948, it was revived in 1992 by Pavel Blatný and today organises, among other things, the Brno Organ Festival and the concert series Od Janáčka k dnešku.
