The Drnovice Cultural House near Vyškov was inaugurated on 8 April 1951 as the "Osvětový dům" with a performance of Smetana's opera The Bartered Bride. Over the decades it hosted many prominent artists, including bands Kabát and Olympic and soloist Karel Gott.
