About the venue

Výpustek Cave is a show cave in the central part of the Moravian Karst, formed by the underground course of the Křtinský Brook. During the 20th century it was used by armies – in World War II the Germans operated an underground aircraft engine factory here, and in the 1960s the Czechoslovak army built a secret nuclear fallout shelter inside. Since 2008 it has been managed by the Cave Administration of the Czech Republic, offering guided tours with the "Cave and People" exhibition and the adventure trail "Discover the Secrets of the Cave".
