About the venue

Karlštejn Castle was built by Emperor Charles IV in the 14th century to safeguard the imperial crown jewels and holy relics. It rises above the village of the same name southwest of Prague and ranks among the most visited castles in the country. Guided tours take visitors through its Gothic interiors, including the Chapel of the Holy Cross with panel paintings by Master Theodoric.
