Open-Air Dance - Commercial
Dance under the stars with a commercial programme in Prague's Havlíčkovy sady. Perfect for those who love dancing in the open air.
The Grotta is a four-storey artificial cave in the Havlíčkovy sady park (also known as Grébovka) in the Prague district of Vinohrady. It was built after 1871 as part of the estate of industrialist Moritz Gröbe, designed by architects Antonín V. Barvitius and Josef Vorlíček. The brick structure, set against a natural rock face, contains passages, small grottos, an arcade and a viewing terrace, with a Triton sculpture in front. After decades of neglect it was restored in 2010-2011, and since 2020 the Divadlo MA theatre company has staged its summer season here.
